The Public Transit Alliance of BC organizes on the traditional territories of the many First Nations that reside within the colonial borders of BC. We respect the leading role that First Nations are playing as they work to achieve improved public transit within their territories. As rights holders with inherent and constitutionally protected rights to self-determination, First Nations need to be included at every stage as public transit infrastructure is advanced, including processes that uphold their free, prior, and informed consent and self-determination.
